In new years past I contemplated making a resolution, as is the cultural norm in my little part of the world.\u00a0 Each year I was struck with my short comings in using my personal resolve to change much of anything in my life.\u00a0 THIS year I continued my own tradition of being honest with myself and not making any personal promises.\u00a0 I realise I learn and grow more then I ever decide and change, and so I have embraced that.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
I wait each new years for a leading, a leading toward what this year of growth will look like.\u00a0 I also say a partial farewell to the year of learning and the theme that was. I feel approaching change and anticipation at the beginning of each new year, and I seek to temper that with patience and listening prayer to Jesus.<\/p>\n
This last year was an extension of the previous.\u00a0 I guess I had a lot to learn about THANKFULNESS.\u00a0 The first year, 2011, was largely focused on my finding specific moments, persons or events and then practising being thankful with them.\u00a0 2012 felt as though I was to move from practising to having an attitude of thanks flowing through my daily life.\u00a0 It seemed to root in, I look at my writing lately and the theme of thankfulness easily flows through out the majority of postings, on a grand variety of topics.<\/p>\n
Over the course of these two years I have found assurance, thanks to an inner hope, that I have gleamed much and grown much in my attitude of worship through thankfulness to my God.\u00a0 With that I desire not to just move on (insinuating leaving these lessons behind) but to carry on in Christ, expressing regularly all that he is teaching me.\u00a0 Enthusiasm builds for what lesson is next for me.<\/p>\n
