{"id":1380,"date":"2014-07-09T16:13:22","date_gmt":"2014-07-09T16:13:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/?p=1380"},"modified":"2014-07-09T16:13:51","modified_gmt":"2014-07-09T16:13:51","slug":"the-grumpy-family-stage-and-loving-us-all-through-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/?p=1380","title":{"rendered":"The Grumpy Family and Loving Us All Through It!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Who knew being excited and happy could be so exhausting?!\u00a0 After living here for a little over three months I realise we have a lot more adjusting to go through and although we are so thrilled to have moved we are also strained by it.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>For every great moment in this adventure there have been crusty and very honest &#8217;emotional let fly&#8217; kinda moments.\u00a0 We are smiling and laughing a lot&#8230; when we are not falling back into untamed toddler mode (and I am not just talking about my littlest kids with that description).\u00a0 Everyone has let their politeness filter slide a little.\u00a0 We are all letting our not so great habits shine a little more then normal since we moved.\u00a0 I have a feeling, with time, we will be able to tuck those bad habits away again and find the strength to try harder to be nice to the ones we live with.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t think I saw all the adjustment stuff coming!\u00a0 Not to this extent!\u00a0 In the past the kids were so young they just rolled with it all.\u00a0 Now we have four kids going through culture change, a family pet who was very confused and kept trying to go home by running away from our new home and there is still the typical work and strain on mom and dad that was there for our previous moves too.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-1385\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n-52x52.jpg 52w, http:\/\/www.ladymacblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/07\/10339630_10152026057387127_3248889682960478900_n.jpg 417w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><span id=\"fbPhotoSnowliftCaption\" class=\"fbPhotosPhotoCaption\" tabindex=\"0\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span id=\"fbPhotoSnowliftCaption\" class=\"fbPhotosPhotoCaption\" tabindex=\"0\"><span class=\"hasCaption\"><strong>&#8220;&#8230;in quietness and in trust shall be your strength.&#8221;<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>I try to tell myself, OFTEN, to stop and pretend just now matter instead of PUSHING SO HARD to find a new normal!\u00a0 I know we will all find this new normal, but if I am honest with myself it will take more time then I have been letting it.\u00a0 AND THEN we will be able to clearly see that the good from this transition far\u00a0outweighs the bad&#8230; we are all just a little too crusty right now to see that \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>How often in life have I, in the back of my mind, thought I could rush us through the not so nice stuff with a little mommy power and effort?
