It was hot, too hot, and after getting my eight loaves of home made bread to the point of rising in the pans I wasn’t liking the idea of heating up the stove to cook supper.\u00a0 My man ran out for pizza, the five bucks hot and ready kind, and those of us who waved to him in joyous farewell where bursting with grins on the front step.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The front step… ahhhh just the spot to try to cool off a little.\u00a0 It was shady and nicer then the house so I watched my three year old ride around and around the front lawn, on his balance bike, till Daddy got back.<\/p>\n

The oldest three burst out the door with calls for supper outside.\u00a0 It required little effort, but plenty of ceremony; we put the pizzas, some cups of water and paper towel out on the patio table.\u00a0 It was delicious, we supped and where filled.\u00a0 Clean up was a breeze and so we took to the patio glider to watch the kids burn off their pizza.\u00a0 Garnet read, some computer text book (YAWN) and I monkeyed with my birthday gift (a playbook).\u00a0\u00a0 Figuring out the video camera feature brought delightful performances out of all the children. Hamming it up was the name of the game.\u00a0 We laughed, laughed so hard I couldn’t keep the camera still… Dad gave up on reading.\u00a0 There was basket ball, biking, running, singing, dancing and general chaotic kid whimsy; all on our driveway… the driveway that blends into our patio, that is the kids\u00a0 favourite horsing around spot in the yard, because it is actually a larger space then the lawn.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The air had cooled and the house was much more bearable once we ventured in and the sun went down.\u00a0 It was nice enough to actually partake of a hot cup of tea after enforcing bedtime.\u00a0 Oh but they crash and thus bedtime went beautifully.\u00a0\u00a0 I put my feet up and forced myself to focus, to remember, to enjoy how very ordinary but perfect an evening it was with my family.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n
