Walking on Painfully Aware

It is better to go to the house of mourning than to go to the house of feasting: for that is the end of all men; and the living will lay it to his heart.
~Ecclesiastes 7:2

May I not emerge from this mourning unchanged.
May I value life more.
May I live with the wisdom and honesty that comes from being real about death…  death comes to us all.
May my eternal perspective blossom and flourish with your beautiful hope.
Oh God I hope I remember the words… to say, to pray, to praise…  that when I remember them I will be able to calmly articulate in my day to day…
Oh God I hope to be peaceful, joyful, full of kindness and graceful…
But Oh God I could do without the fake, the denial, the blissful ignorance…
Oh God, my hope…can’t do without you Jesus…can’t do without love.
