Marriage Monday: Why Wives Need Loving Conversation First

(My Garnet and I, taken weeks before our marriage and now
we are only weeks away from 10 married years together.)

ROMANCE~Ardent emotional attachment or involvement between people; love:

I think women need the extra attention and effort of loving conversation before intimacy because everything in our minds is connected and if are going to switch from multitasking to only him tasking we need some leading down that one lane road.

Talking helped me the most when I was fatigued in the midst of four pregnancies and babies. Talking about it helped me remember it… it was my needed moment to reach the ‘HELLO HUSBAND!” moment.

Call to me sweetly,
whisper sweet nothings to me…
if for no other reason then simple to shut the rest of my mind off;)

That is my little bit!

I really like your take on this: We are so used to multi-tasking that it’s a challenge to switch to just ONE thing. Brilliant! :~D

Thanks for jumping in my sweet CDN friend. This was a hard topic. :~D

I definitely agree. Switching gears is a hard thing to do and loving conversation helps a lot.

I agree that if women are fatigued especially with loads of household chores, s*x is the last thing in their mind so men should be able to motivate their wife.

  4. Liked this part of your post: “if are going to switch from multitasking to only him tasking we need some leading down that one lane road.” Very well put.

God is so amazing. After writing that post on Monday about the tough spot my marriage has been in for a while, my husband asked me out to lunch today. Yeah – I get some one-on-one time with him, and I hadn’t even asked yet.

I absolutely LOVE that CS Lewis quote you have on your banner. WHERE DID YOU FIND IT? I have collected his quotes for years now and read most of his books but this is the first time I’ve seen that particular one. As a huge tea drinker and book reader, that’s one I will always cherish!
