Soccer Stars

I have my own two little soccer stars.  The boys both have been drawn to the game since they could walk.  The oldest is now on a team each spring.  He was so eager to start, watching his older sister trying it out, trying to play from the side lines.

(My oldest boy enjoying every minute.  He particularly likes being in goal.)

Well the littlest guy in our house is much the same.  He just can’t get enough of the side line soccer time with his Dad.  I realized how important it was to him when he couldn’t stop telling his dentist about playing soccer, “with da red ball, with the Dad”, while still in the dentist chair.  All she had done was ask him how he was, and he spilled out soccer stories like a fountain does water!  We are pretty sure he will be a regular player in no time, just like his big brother.

(Littlest man trying out his BIG kick!)

What a lovely sport, inexpensive compared to many, so healthy with all the running involved, and a lot of fun to watch.

The girls and I have a nice time at each game too.  If we aren’t helping the littlest soccer star practice his side line game, we are sipping tea from the thermos, sitting with the dog, and watching my biggest guy play his heart out.  Great family time!

(There’s my crew, heading home after a game.)
